The Gipe family has invited me into their home many times, but this time was out of the ordinary. Their Taproot Session took me deeper inside to experience the love and creativity that flourish in every room of their home. Everything that the Gipe family did that day had creative flair! See and hear their story as Valerie (the mama) shares her passion for motherhood and her personal desires for her 4 children.
"I love having a household where you can truly be yourself. Where you know you're loved and therefore have no inhibitions in expressing yourself; whether emotionally or creatively.
I always want my kids to know that they can tell me anything. I want to validate their feelings and coach them through wherever they are in life. I also want them to have the freedom to be creative... to try different sports, art forms, subjects... find out how they are wired and what their strengths are. And recognize their weaknesses and know that they have unsurpassable worth despite those weaknesses.
I will never tell my child, "you can do anything you set your mind to!" Let's be real, some things are unattainable. But that's why we need each other, and that's why we need Jesus! And learning how to have those strong crucial relationships is key to coping with this life. I want my babies to know that Jesus loves them unconditionally and forever! I believe that truth will get them through any situation, and spur them on to be awesome human beings."
