A Girl & Her Pony: A Last Kiss Goodbye
A sample of photographs from Hannah and Miss Penny's Clover Session.
"A pony is someone to grow up with, someone to take walks with, someone to tell secrets to, someone to hug, someone to take that first ride on, someone to take that first fall on, someone to learn with and someone to love. My daughter, Hannah loved Miss Penny from the moment she got to our farm to the moment she had to learn a big lesson and take that last walk and say goodbye. Miss Penny loved her right back and was so patient and kind and she is sorely missed! It never gets easier seeing our critters get old, they become such a part of our family."

If Hannah were to write a letter to Miss Penny I imagine it may sound something like this.
Dear Miss Penny (my best friend),
I can't remember my life without you. Mommy told me that I was almost two when you came to live with us. We spent hours running up and down the aisles and in the arena. I told you all of my secrets. I pretended to take you to shows and you won first prize every time! You were my fairy tale. You have always taken such good care of me and now Mommy says that I must do something for you. She says that this is the hardest part about caring for animals. I must let you go. But before you fall asleep, I'll feed you a feast of grain and peppermints (your favorites). We'll nuzzle our noses like we always do, sharing one more secret and one last kiss goodbye.
I love you,
Hannah
