Garden Rental FAQs
How Can I Contact You?
The best way to get a quick response is through text: 260-433-2874
Do You Allow Mini Sessions?
Yes! But, please keep them 15 minutes in length or longer.
When Is The Best Time For Natural Lighting?
• The Secret Garden: I have found the natural lighting to be best in the very early morning (ask about booking around sunrise) and afternoon until just before sunset. The greenhouse is lit by the sun in the front late morning through midday. You are welcome to schedule an appointment to come see what time of day would work best for your booking.
• The Living Room: Natural light spills in from the sides and wall behind the sofa. Feel free to bring your own lighting as needed.
Do You Have Marketing Photos I Can Use?
Yes! You may use any of the photos in this gallery. You may also use any of my photos from social media or my website that DO NOT include people or animals in them.
Can I Book Both The Living Room and Secret Garden at the Same Time?
Yes! There is an option for this when you book online.
What If the Weather Is Bad?
Booking fees are non-refundable. In case of rain or storms, you can choose to reschedule your Secret Garden rental for a date in the near future at no additional cost. Or, you may utilize only the indoor Living Room during your rental if available.
Is There A Restroom Available?
Living Room rentals include the use of a restroom. Secret Garden Rentals do not include a restroom. If you book both at the same time, you will have access to the restroom.
Where Can Clients Change?
• Secret Garden Rentals: Your clients can change in the Fernery behind the Mural Wall. It is fenced so that neighbors can’t see in.
• Living Room Rentals: There is a restroom available.
Do You Have More Dates/Times Available Than What’s Shown?
Yes, I may! Just contact me and I’ll see if I can open a date for you.
Are Dogs Permitted?
• Dogs are permitted outdoors in the Secret Garden and Greenhouse. Typically the limit is 2 dogs per session.
• Dogs are NOT permitted in the Living Room or inside.
Guests are required to clean up any pet waste and carry it out with them or properly dispose of it in a tied bag in the blue bin labeled “trash” at the top of the driveway. Guests may not use any of the neighbor’s trash cans.
How Many Clients Can I Have At A Time?
You may have up to 7 clients/guests at a time (per photo session).
Where Do We Park?
Park in the driveway to one side and pull all the way up. Have your client park behind you. For Secret Garden minis, another client can park on the other side of the driveway. This way it will be less of a disruption to neighbors as people come and go. If the drive is full, clients may park for free on the street.
What Props Are Included?
• The Secret Garden: Access to select props may be included; please ask. You may bring your own props. If you have large props, there is a gate to the left of the garage that can be used instead of the smaller garden archway entry.
• The Living Room: There is a sofa in the room. This may be moved over to the side of the room if you do not wish to use it. Please let me know 48 hours ahead of time. Please note, there may be some cases where rentals are back to back and I am unable to move the sofa in between.
What If Clients Are Late and I Go Over My Scheduled Rental Time?
The space must be vacated, and all items brought into the space must be removed by the end time of your booking reservation. Overtime will be billed in half-hour increments at a rate of $90. Some bookings are back-to-back and do not allow overtime.
Do I Need Liability Insurance To Rent?
Yes, photographers booking the space must carry their own liability insurance.
My Client Has Specific Accessibility Needs. Can You Accommodate Them?
The Living Room and small restroom are on the first floor of the home right when you walk in the front door. There are two steps up to the front door from the driveway. The Secret Garden pathway between the house and garage is narrow and guests may use the wider gate through the grass on the left side of the garage. The ground of the garden is uneven in places, and there is loose pea gravel leading to the front of the greenhouse. There are various benches and chairs throughout the garden. Please contact me with any specific accessibility needs.
What Do I Need to Do When I Leave After Renting?
Guests are expected to leave the space in the same condition as they found it. Guests must remove any equipment or props they brought in. Be sure to factor setup and teardown time into your booking hours. No nails, screws, staples, etc. should be used on any surface. Any tape or gummed backing materials must be properly removed. The cost for any damages is your responsibility.
Miscellaneous Garden No-No’s
• Smoking anywhere on the property.
• The use of glitter or confetti.
• Fragrances/perfumes: The Living Room is a fragrance-free space. Please ask your clients ahead of time to refrain from wearing fragrances.
• Climbing on any trees or structures in the garden.
Please be respectful of the neighbors at all times.
